The 2018 Nissan TITAN XD offers a bit more when it comes to capabilities compared to its brother truck, the Nissan TITAN. With two engine options, a serene cabin, and impressive ratings when it comes to capabilities, the 2018 TITAN XD is a rugged truck that is ready for any job.
The 2018 Nissan TITAN XD is available at Santa Cruz Nissan in five trim levels: S, SV, PRO-4X®, SL, and Platinum Reserve. It has three available cab sizes: Single, King, and Crew. The Single Cab configuration is available on the S and SV trims; the King Cab is available with the S, SV, and PRO-4X® trims; and the Crew Cab is available with all five trims. All trims are offered with standard rear-wheel drive and optional switch-operated two-speed transfer case four-wheel drive, except for the PRO-4X® which has standard four-wheel drive.
Performance & Capabilities
There are two engine options you can choose from when purchasing the 2018 TITAN XD. The first is a 5.6-liter V8 gasoline-powered engine, which is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and puts out 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. For those that love a diesel engine, there’s an available Cummins 5.0-liter V8 Turbo Diesel, which is mated to an Aisin® six-speed automatic and puts out 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque.
No matter the engine you choose, you’ll still find some top-notch capability rankings. When outfitted with the diesel engine, the TITAN XD can tow a maximum payload of 12,640 pounds and has a maximum payload rating of 2,420 pounds. The gasoline-powered engine has slightly lower – but still impressive – numbers with a maximum towing capacity of 11,600 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 2,910 pounds.
Depending on the trim level you choose, the TITAN XD’s interior can mirror those of the more premium sedan’s out there. A new dashboard layout puts everything in easy access, while premium materials grace everything you might touch. Despite this luxury feel, the cabin is still both durable and versatile, hinting at the vehicle’s workhorse ways. In the rear seat, you’ll find some impressive versatility with a bench that offers an under-seat storage tray, while also having the ability to fold flat into a workbench. The standard Zero Gravity seats are also a plus, giving you a cushy, comfortable ride no matter how long you’re behind the wheel.
Innovative technology is available in all trim levels, no matter which one you choose. Standard tech includes connected devices like a Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, an audio system with a 5-inch color display, and safety tech like RearView Monitor. Other available technology includes SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, Siri® Eyes Free, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and an Intelligent Around View® Monitor. It even has an available Nissan Mobile Entertainment System with headrest monitors and two Wireless Headphones.
