The 2018 Nissan Frontier has five trim levels: S, SV, SL, Desert Runner, and Pro-4X. There are also available 4x4 configurations, as well as King Cab and Crew Cab options (the SL is only available as a Crew Cab).
Powertrains and Performance
The 2018 Frontier comes with a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine that’s paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an available five-speed automatic. This powertrain generates up to 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, and it has an estimated 23 highway mpg* with the manual transmission. There’s also a 4.0-liter V6 engine that gets up to 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. Available performance features include 4x4 off-road capability, an Active Brake Limited Slip system, and selectable drive modes.
The Frontier can seat up to five people with the proper cabin configuration, and the interior is built with a range of amenities to keep you comfortable. For instance, there are options like a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and leather trim on the seats and steering. Other available highlights include a rearview monitor, dual-zone climate control to keep everyone comfortable, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror for better visibility. Standard features include cloth seating, air conditioning, and an in-cabin microfilter, among other things.
For those looking for a bold design and smart engineering, the Frontier is for you. This truck comes with a tall ride height for better ground clearance, and well as a wide stance for stability. The Desert Runner and PRO-4X are especially capable, as these models are ideal for those who love to go off road. Available features on the Frontier include Bilstein® shocks, a tuned suspension, and a fully-boxed, full-length ladder frame. You get the stability of high-strength steel, while the exterior design creates an air of athleticism.
